Jane Featherstone

'Watercooler television in the age of binge-watching'

Jane Featherstone (German & History 1991) has executive produced many ground breaking TV series in the UK including Humans, Spooks and Life on Mars.

She was also behind the multi-award winning Broadchurch, a relatively rare example of ‘water cooler’ television at a time when viewers don’t typically sit down to watch the same programme at the same time each week.

In conversation with Professor Bethany Klein, Head of the School of Media and Communication, Jane will talk about her career in television, her commitment to nurturing new writing and directing talent and share her thoughts on the future of the TV drama in both Britain and internationally.

More information about Jane Featherstone.
